Abstract

Refill drinking water is one option being the most common beverage consumed by the public. Cleanliness of drinking water is one of the main conditions for health. Society considers that the refill drinking water has been safely consumed directly Because it comes from the mountains and through the sterilization process. This study aims to determine the class of coliform bacteria contamination in drinking water refills. MPN coliform examination was conducted in Medan Health Laboratory. This study population throughout the refill drinking water a total of 10 samples. Based PERMENKES 492/Menkes/PER/ IV2010 maximum number of levels of total coliforms per 100 ml sample is allowed is 0. The results showed that of the 10 samples there was the discovery of three positive samples Coliform Bacteria in the
samples 3, 8, and 10 with numbers MPN 979, on the sample 7 is negative and Coliform bacteria are in a sample of 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9. This indicates that the sample 3 , 8 , and 10 do not meet the quality requirements of drinking water . With the discovery of contamination within the feasibility of drinking water for consumption.
